Nine years ago, Hannah Detmers worked hard to become a San Antonio firefighter. But as she settled into her career, she realized the path to firefighting wasn’t as clear for women.
Conversations about recruitment at the department got Hannah thinking: What if girls were introduced to firefighting as a career option while they were still in elementary school?
