Becoming a Firefighter with the SAFD is not easy but with the right attitude and dedication, it can be accomplished.

San Antonio Fire Department Public Education

The San Antonio Fire Department is committed to providing life safety education for the citizens of our community. The Fire Prevention Division is dedicated to ensuring every city resident is safe at home, at work and at school.

The Public Education Division strives to provide effective fire safety education with the most current and up-to-date information about numerous fire safety conditions. Public Safety Office personnel are primarily responsible for fire prevention education and outreach services in the City of San Antonio. Our strategy to reduce fire deaths and injuries is to focus on prevention by identifying and rectifying unsafe behaviors.

In providing this information, we hope to bring a safe environment whether it is at your home of residence, place of work, or at any indoor/outdoor event.
